California taxpayers who disagree with local assessors’ valuation of their property can contact the local assessor’s office to discuss the assessment or appeal their property tax bills.
The window to file an appeal varies by county, and ends in both Amador and Calaveras counties Dec. 1, 2014. That process is only available to taxpayers who are challenging the assessed value of their property as of Jan. 1. Different appeal periods apply to taxpayers who are appealing an assessment after a property was sold, underwent new construction, or was damaged in a natural disaster or other calamity.

July 24th is National Tequila Day.
Tequila was first produced in the 16th century near the location of the village of Tequila, a small town in a valley in Jalisco state, Mexico.
It's North America's first distilled drink, and its first commercially produced alcohol. El Torero has an extensive selection to choose from. Head over and ask Adolpho about it today!
